  • What should campers bring to camp?

    Camp Wanago is full of movement and fun. Bring running shoes, a nut free lunch, refillable water bottle, bathing suit, towel, hat and sunscreen. every day. As we will be active please wear older clothes that can get dirty.

    There may be specific items to bring depending on the activity, so please should always check the schedule and notice board.

  • What are the hours of Camp Wanago?

    Camp hours are from 9am - 4pm. Unfortunately we do not do before or after care.

  • What do I do when I get to camp?

    We ask that parents drop their kids off and sign them in every morning. There will be designated camp staff assigned to greet parents and campers at the beginning of each day.

  • How do I pick up my kid from camp?

    Campers will only be dismissed to parents or authorized guardians. There is a section on the registration form where parents can list who can pick up their children. Please bring your ID to pick up.

  • What should I pack for lunch?

    At Camp Wanago we have snack and lunch time and tuck time. Sometimes we will eat at Camp and sometimes we will eat on a trip. Due to the number of children with anaphylactic reactions to nuts, Camp Wanago strives to be a nut-free camp.

  • What is the tuck shop and how does it work?

    Parents may purchase tuck tickets for each camper. Campers will have the opportunity to purchase a small amount of candy after lunch. We recommend that campers don’t spend more than $1/day.

  • How can my child be in the same group as their friend?

    At Camp Wanago we divide kids up into different age groups. If you child is coming with a friend and they aren’t in the same age group, please let’s chat and figure something out.

  • Can campers bring toys to camp?

    Campers are not encouraged to bring toys to camp. It is often stressful to the child when favourite toys are forgotten, lost or broken. If a camper brings a toy to camp, it will be placed in a safe spot until it is time to go home.

  • Can campers bring electronics to camp?

    Camp Wanago is an electronics free camp. Please do not bring cell phones, or gaming devices to camp. If a camper brings electronics to camp, it will be placed in a safe spot until it is time to go home.

  • My child has allergies, what can I do?

    Parents of children with allergies are required to list the allergies on the medical form completed at registration. A medical consent form needs to be filled out as well. If a child requires an Epipen, it is to be kept on the child or in their backpack at all times.

  • What do I do if my child needs medication?

    If a camper needs to be given medication while at camp, a consent form to administer the medication must be completed by the parent. Without this form, we will not be able to administer the medication. All medication must be sent in the original pharmacy container with the child’s name and dosage instructions.

  • What if I need to cancel?

    You can cancel camp up to two weeks before your camp starts. We will be happy to give you a refund less a $30 administration fee. Unfortunately if the cancellation is less than 2 weeks away from the start of camp there will be no refund.
